Carpet Design: Solace II Madder from Callidus Guild Collection and Soft I from Biophilic Series
In a Parisian apartment just steps away from Parc Monceau, interior architects Stéphan Bidoux and Julien Villeneuve bring new life to Haussmann elegance with a bold celebration of colour, contrast and craftsmanship. Spanning two levels, this 170-square-meter residence reimagines classic codes through a warm, contemporary lens—where marble meets oak, and vivid tones of ochre, rose and green infuse every room with personality.
Within this dialogue between tradition and modernity, the choice of rugs plays a key role. Tai Ping’s Soft I, from the Biophilic Series, echoes the apartment’s organic fluidity with its gentle textures and muted palette. In the bedroom, the Solace II Madder design, woven from silk and Lurex, introduces a refined shimmer that balances softness and strength. Together, these bespoke pieces ground the interiors with a quiet sophistication, underscoring the designers’ talent for creating spaces that feel both composed and deeply alive.
