This collection is inspired by the language of intricate lacework. Delicate, embellished textiles deeply rooted in history have influenced the precise and technologically advanced evolution of this art form, which has progressed from handcraft to 3D printing and laser cutting. As the design world moves beyond abstraction, Design Directors Juliana Polastri and Ariana Massouh Ornamental seek to reintroduce the viewer to ornate decorative elements. Studies on antique bobbin, needle and filet-laces along with crochet served as muses for the five patterned rugs in this collection. Three supplementary textural patterns complement the meticulously detailed lead patterns. The colour palette is grounded in soft tones such as mint, blush pinks, subtle purples and blues, reflecting emerging trends. Elaborate multi-pile-heights combined with carefully chosen fiber combinations bring the spirit of adornment to the qualities of these carpets.
